​Am I Eligible?

RYLA District 9800 is a program for 18 to 25 year olds who live, work, study, volunteer or have a connection with a Rotary Club in District 9800. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTIQ community, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

​How Do I Apply?

You can apply to be a participant for RYLA through our website which will take you to an online application form. Once completed, this form will be assessed by the RYLA Committee and passed onto our Program Directors. Participants will be contacted by both the committee and Co-Directors to let them know if their application was successful and to discuss further details around preparing for the program.

Sponsorship


​We encourage all applicants to contact their local Rotary Club. If you have been in contact with a Rotary Club, there is provision in the application form to detail this information.

If you are yet to make contact, our team can help to find you a sponsorship Club.  This is a straight-forward process and we do not want this to discourage you from applying.  Your application will go into the ‘pool’ of applicants and you will be shared with a potential sponsor Rotary Club. Once a Rotary Club agrees to sponsor you, we will put you in touch with that Club.

​In either case, you will then be contacted by your sponsoring Rotary Club for follow-up or potentially an interview. Most Rotary Clubs will expect you to visit a meeting before and/or after the RYLA program.
